The Iron Wood Black Walnut trivet measures 7 by 7 inches. Made in Northern Wisconsin from a single board of wood, it has a beeswax oil treatment and a hanging hole for storage or display between uses.

Black walnut gives this trivet a dark surface, with some lighter sapwood along the edges and underside. Grain and color vary between pieces; the photos show the overall appearance rather than an exact pattern.

Fit and storage

Compare the 7 by 7 inch footprint with the base of your serving dish before ordering. Place the trivet on a flat, stable surface with the dish fully supported, and follow your cookware and surface makers’ care guidance. Let it cool and dry before hanging it up.

Cleaning and conditioning

Wipe the cooled trivet with a soft, damp cloth, towel-dry and let it air-dry fully. Avoid soaking, dishwasher cleaning and abrasive pads. When the wood looks dry, apply conditioner according to its instructions. Beeswax and mineral oil conditioner is available separately.
