Stockholm rectangular end grain cutting boards
The Stockholm combines a rectangular cutting surface with a juice groove, finger slots for lifting and rubber feet underneath. Made by Amish craftspeople in Northern Wisconsin, each board is 1.25 inches thick, with solid wood end grain construction and a beeswax oil treatment. The four wood patterns share these features; your choice comes down to the wood and size you prefer.
Compare the four wood patterns
- Hickory Nut combines heartwood and sapwood from hickory.
- For black walnut, choose Starlight, made with walnut heartwood and sapwood.
- October has a mixed pattern of maple, cherry, hickory, walnut, white oak and red grandis.
- Woodford combines maple, cherry, hickory and white oak with walnut ends.
Natural grain and color vary from board to board. Use the product photos to compare the overall patterns rather than expecting every piece to look identical.
Choose a size for your prep space
Hickory Nut, October and Woodford offer 10 by 14, 12 by 17 and 14 by 20 inch sizes. Starlight offers 12 by 17 and 14 by 20 inches. All are 1.25 inches thick. Measure your counter, sink and storage space before choosing, and check the individual product for current availability.
Care and other board styles
Hand-wash with warm, soapy water, towel-dry and allow the board to air-dry on edge. Avoid soaking or using the dishwasher. Apply conditioner when the wood looks dry. Our cutting board care guide covers cleaning, oiling and storage, with beeswax and mineral oil conditioner available separately.
